Leadership - Why Weekends?
Weekend Coordinator - Fall Planning
Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Team training was reviewed, updated and organized to assist Rector(a)s to build weekend teams. Leadership training was completed for the upcoming weekends. This reminds all team member on the "WHYs' of the weekend to help stay focused on building leaders for Christ. Rollos, note taking and posters are essential and each facilitate learning in three ways - audible, tactile and graphic. Each of us learns in different ways, and in VdC we offer the three ways so that the message is retained.
I will be completing my term at the end of 2019, and would ask each of you to pray is this is an area you can use to build your leadership skills - pun intended!
Your sister in Christ,
Fall Weekends --- they are swiftly approaching!!
Although we just started the summer season, the fall season is not far behind. Fall is my favorite season. Honestly, the fall weekends will soon be approaching and I can’t wait! The leaves, cool air, no air conditioning and the Living Stones Weekends! One thing to remember, however, is we can't have weekends without pilgrims, and each pilgrim needs a sponsor. Sponsoring is not just dinner and a mug. It is more than you could imagine. It is a lifetime of friendship built on the foundation of knowing Jesus. A friendship that is unique and true. Sponsoring is the team to be on! Please consider sponsoring a pilgrim for the upcoming weekend. To read more about sponsorship responsibilities, please click here.
If you have a person that you would like to sponsor, please pray for them now. Speak with them about the weekend. And, please remember to try to get their completed application in at least two weeks prior to the weekend so that everything can be in place for your pilgrim to attend the weekend.
God loves you and so do I!
Our new name "Living Stones Via de Cristo" is now active and in good standing with the State of Virginia where our corporation resides. All financial activity for the Spring weekends will be done with the current Rainbow VdC account. New bank accounts are being opened, checks ordered and debit cards issued. Starting with Fall donations, please make checks payable to "Living Stones VdC".
If you have already written a check payable to Rainbow, don't worry, the bank will honor it.
NOTE: Not all checks received by the Treasurer have a clear indication of their purpose.
Please, always use the “Memo” section to indicate:
If mis-categorized, please send an E-mail to email@example.com giving the Donation Receipt number, amount, date and proper category. THANKS!

Let’s Show Some Palanca/Agape Love This Fall
Requesting local Reunion Groups come out and show their support for the upcoming Fall weekends. Come out to the social on Thursday night to meet and mingle with the Pilgrims. Or, be there on Sunday and show your support for the Closura on Sunday. Take a bit of time to stay and help with the clean/pack up of the camp. The more bodies there are, the quicker this task can be done and everyone can be on their way and knowing you’ve just shown God’s love to those who attended the weekend.
Think of it this way, WHAT BETTER way to show that Agape love to those who have just finished working on a weekend, and our brand new Cursillistas than to be there supporting all the team NOT only the Closura, but also for the cleanup.
Looking forward to seeing YOU at the Fall weekends!
De Colores! God Loves you and so do We!

The July Ultreya!
A wonderful time was had by all at the Ultreya held Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington Park, MD. Rose Briggs, rectora for women's weekend #72, was our Fourth Day Speaker and provided attendees with a wonderful sharing.
Our next Ultreya is scheduled for Saturday, September 15. 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6600 Laurel Bowie Road, Bowie, MD 20715. Our Fourth Day Speaker has not been determined at this time.
Do you have a Fourth Day talk to give? A Fourth Day talk is simply a talk about how Jesus is working in your life. It is between fifteen and twenty minutes long. After the talk, we will break up into small groups, in order to discuss the talk. Your brother and sister Cursillistas will pray for you, before you give your talk, and afterwards. Please pray and ask Jesus if He would like you to give a Fourth Day talk and follow His lead. If He does, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org in order to move that forward. We hope that this will deepen your experience with Rainbow, your Fourth Day, and (most importantly) your walk with Jesus.

From the Rectora
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last."
Team training has just begun and I am overwhelmed by the goodness of God in bringing these particular women together to serve on this weekend. I knew that God had something wonderful planned for this weekend when I learned that we would have three spiritual directors but as the team came together, I could really see His goodness unfold! As the team prepares in the coming months, please pray for someone you can sponsor. Please begin praying now for the team and for the pilgrims who will share in this weekend, and please pray that the Holy Spirit fill this weekend so that we can all go forth and bear fruit that will last!
